I’m So Glad You’re Here!
Here, each family that comes into my office feeling fearful, tense, sad, or lost to enter a space that feels safe, inviting, accepting, and hopeful. My goal is for each family and individual to leave feeling empowered, supported, and excited about the steps going forward.
Seeking support for yourself or your child is NOT a detriment- it is a positive and exciting step toward wellness!
What Makes E.N.G. Special?
Stepping into a new office can feel intimidating for anyone. The goal of my office is to reduce that tension immediately. The environment is calm, welcoming, and intentionally designed to help children feel comfortable being themselves.
You’ll notice developmentally appropriate materials, flexible seating, and areas that allow for both focused work and natural interaction. These details are not decorative; they support thoughtful evaluation and meaningful connection.
When we feel at ease, we can show us who we truly are: our strengths, their challenges, and potential. That clarity allows us to create recommendations that are grounded, practical, and individualized.
A Space Designed with You in Mind
More about Dr. Emily Gibson
-
Hello! I am Emily Gibson and I am from Pensacola, FL . I moved to Huntsville, AL in 2023 with my husband, Tyler, and our dog, George. I enjoy reading, baking, and game nights with friends in my spare time. You’ll often find her at the library or enjoying a treat at a local coffee shop!

I first began my studies at the University of Florida where I earned a B.S. in Psychology and engaged in research focused on early intervention services for children with autism spectrum disorder.
Subsequently, I studied at Vanderbilt University where I earned a M.Ed. in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis. During this time, I enjoyed learning more about how children engage with their school environments as a student teacher and through providing school based behavioral services. This training provided an in-depth understanding of the IEP and 504 plan process in schools as a member of student support teams.
Finally, I earned a Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My clinical work during this time focused on trauma informed care for children in foster care. My research focused on the impact of school on the mental health of students, trauma informed care, suicide prevention, and effective consultation.
